Who we are looking for

An Accountant to join our growing Account team, assisting in the production of periodic management accounts and financial reporting packs to our commercial partners in the US.

As part of our Accounts reporting team for our US expansion, you will be responsible for creating periodic management accounts and performing balance sheet reconciliations within the period close, with commentaries made for entity summary and to highlight any anomalies. The ideal candidate must have a strong desire to learn and develop and must be dynamic in their approach to learning new systems and processes. This role involves external reporting to commercial partners, down to a contribution level and you should also have good business acumen as well as a strong understanding of Accounting fundamentals to ensure accuracy and robustness of distributable reports.

Preferred skills and experience

AAT qualified or equivalent Accountant or a Finance graduate with experience within a management accounts focussed role.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to adapt to new systems quickly.
Self-motivation with a strong desire to learn and develop.

Main Responsibilities

Preparing four weekly management accounts for relevant entities of responsibility.
Reconciling weekly bank accounts.
Calculating and posting Period End Accruals and pre-payments ensuring all balances are fully supportable.
Adhering to deadlines and providing responses to manager reviews.
Preparing balance sheets reconciliations and highlighting any issues to the Finance Manager.
Owning the fixed asset register including additions and period end reconciliations.
Working in a collaborative manner and providing cover and support to team members.
