Full Job Description

Staff Nurses work as part of a team of professional and medical staff that includes doctors, social workers and therapists. Much of the time will be spent with patients, monitoring them, planning and delivering care, and advising them on their health. You will do shoft work as assigned by NST Rise Agency which will be as required by the booking hospital or nursing home

Duties will include:

  • Assessing patients and gaining their trust.
  • Planning and delivering patients’ care.
  • Monitoring patients’ progress.
  • Taking vital signs, pulses, temperatures and blood pressures.
  • Monitoring and administering medication.
  • Writing and keep records.
  • Supervising junior staff.
  • Organising workloads.
  • Providing emotional support to patients and relatives.
  • Tutoring student nurses.
  • Advising patients and relatives on health-related issues.
  • Interact and communicate with patients, families, physicians, and other members of the health care team.
  • Facilitate patient education to promote healthy lifestyles.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.

You‘re likely to work shifts of up to 12 hours. if you work unsocial hours (weekends, nights and public holidays) you’ll be paid extra for these responsibilities.

Job Type: Zero hours contract

Salary: £25.00-£38.00 per hour
