Pharmacy Healthcare Assistant

Saraj Chemist and Post Office is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Healthcare Assistant who is responsible for serving customers, filing, stocking shelves and taking care of basic administrative tasks in this busy family run pharmacy. Our Pharmacy Assistant will also be responsible for collecting payments and helping customers who need additional information about the products that they are purchasing. Hours can be negotiated on a part-time basis.

Follow the sale of medicines protocol and use WWHAM questioning technique to provide advice to patients on the use of medicines as well as general health and lifestyle matters, referring queries to the Pharmacist as needed.

• Receive and hand out prescriptions under the supervision of the Responsible Pharmacist. Collect necessary prescription charges and ensure correct information regarding patient exemption information is verified and recorded accurately.

• Respond to telephone enquiries including taking patient repeat prescription requests and providing information to patients on the status of their prescriptions.

•Maintain attractive looking displays that are tidy and pulled forward. Implement any price changes or promotions. Ensure correct storage of products, ensure good stock rotation and monitor and check expiry dates.

• Undertake all necessary housekeeping duties so that the pharmacy is kept clean and tidy at all times.

Contract length: 6 months
Part-time hours: 20 per week

Salary: £10.00-£15.00 per hour
