Machine Operative

Title: Machine Operative / Machine Setter

The Best Connection Group is looking for Machine Operator to begin a permanent role for our client based in Paddock Wood, Tonbridge.

Responsibilities:

• Setting up the case packer/labeler machines ready for production and running routine maintenance of machinery
• Ensure quality and productivity targets are met consistently.
• Able to adjust the machine as needed to improve quality and maintain line speeds.

Requirements:

• Attention to detail.
• We welcome applications from candidates who have recent hands on experience with machinery, an inner understanding of how machines work, and keen to learn with a can-do attitude.
• We also love to see a strong understanding of production procedures and adherence to health and safety regulations.

The shift pattern will be primarily a 5 day on 2 day off week, covering a 10 hour production shifts with set up and shutdown periods at each end, but we look for a flexible attitude to this is essential to cover fluctuations in workload and sickness and holiday cover.

• Hourly rate as above (not age dependent)
• 28 days Paid Annual Leave pro-rata for PAYE (inclusive of statutory holiday)
