Software Developer – Remote (UK based) / Hybrid / Stoke / Preston

Davies Group are looking for creative and energetic Developers to join their growing Product based teams for the UK and Ireland business. Our Scrum-based Agile squads are developing a range of services to deliver world class applications for regulated markets using Microsoft and complimentary technology. The business has adopted a Cloud-Centric approach which allows opportunities to work on wide range developments including Claims Management platforms, APIs, Microservices and Integrations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Development of software to agreed standards and methodologies
• Contribution of new ideas and best practice approach to solutions
• Creation & maintenance of new and existing components and applications
• Actively work to eliminate bugs and tech debt
• Migration of legacy applications
• Code Reviews

Skills & Experience:

Essential-

• Industry experience with C# and .NET (Framework / Core)
• Confidence to add to existing engineering practices and customs
• Knowledge of Service Orientated Architecture, Object Orientated Architecture, HTTP, REST

Desirable-

• .NET Core, NET 5/6
• Micro services experience
• React.js
• Winforms / WCF
• Test Driven Development (TDD)
• Event driven architecture
• RESTful APIs
