Trainee Accountant

Main duties & responsibilities:

An opportunity has arisen in a small accountancy practice for a high calibre candidate to train as an accountant. Main duties will involve bookkeeping, payroll, accounts preparation, auditing and preparation of income and corporation tax computations. In-house training and supervision will be provided. The role will also comprise of some administrative duties. If sufficient initiative and motivation is demonstrated, the role can develop into an ACCA/ACA training contract.

Location of job: Crystal Palace, London

Salary Package: £14,000 - £16,000 (plus possibility of ACA/ACCA training package)

Main duties & responsibilities:

A strong academic background with convincing passes at A-level and a good degree. IT skills are essential (excel and word). The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills (spoken and written) and have the ability to work to a deadlines and as part of a team. Some prior experience in the profession is preferable. Part-qualified (ACA or ACCA) candidates will be considered. This role requires someone who is highly motivated and is enthusiastic about progressing within a small firm of Chartered Accountants.
