About us

Hampton Tutors Ltd. is a tutoring and academic coaching agency based in Edinburgh. Our goal is to provide high quality academic coaching to support learners of all ages and abilities. We were founded on the principle that all students are capable of becoming confident, capable, and curious learners, even if the school enviornment isn't always supportive of atypical learners.

We specialise in providing academic support in conjunction with executive function development. This helps students develop organisational and study skills that make them lifelong learners.

We have a larger sister company - Hampton Tutors LLC - based in Seattle, USA. This helps us to draw on training materials and resources to provide high-quality support for students in-person and online.

We are looking for an academic coach to join our growing team. We're looking for people who are experts in teaching English (Language and Literature), who are familiar with both the English and the Scottish curriculum, and are passionate and engaging educators.

We are particularly looking for academic coaches who have experience working with students with Additional Support Needs, such as the following:

• Dyslexia
• ADHD
• ASD

This is a contract position, and we're looking for a coach who can work 4-10 hours a week at this stage, throughout the remainder of the academic year. Onboarding support and professional development are provided.

Our students are located throughout Edinburgh, with rougly 1/3 looking for online academic coaching. The remainder are supported in-home or in a third location, such as a coffee shop or library.
