Position: Floor Server

Salary: £6.50 - 10.00 per hour (including tips)

Available working hours: Monday-Sunday, 5 pm - 12 pm (shifts to be decided and confirmed upon appointment)

Job role

Bombay Pickles are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-orientated floor server to join our friendly team. You will be expected to be assisting with the running of a busy restaurant service. This will include (and not be limited to): seating customers upon arrival, serving food and drinks, and maintaining a professional and friendly approach towards customers and staff.

Full induction and training (for example, rules and regulations of food safety and hygiene, food and drink handling, and training with the epos system will be provided and no direct experience is required. If you live in Central Birmingham, a company car will be able to provide a lift to the restaurant and back.

Job Responsibilities

· Greeting guests with a welcoming attitude

· Escorting guests to their table

· Performing cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, etc. to maintain high standard cleaning and hygiene practices

· Handling customer complaints and needs

· Setting tables with clean napkins and cutlery

· Understanding when to hand over complex enquiries and concerns to Management to resolve

Job Requirements

· Basic numeracy and literary skills

· Ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks in a busy environment

· Good communication skills (speaking politely and professionally)

· Willingness to work flexibly which includes weekends, and holidays

· Ability to work under minimum supervision

· Excellent physical stamina and manual dexterity

· Able to take orders on a Ipad
