Metal Fabricator - Fabricator/Welder

Due to an increase in workload a position is available for an experienced and skilful time served sheet metal worker/fabricators.

Job Description

You will have:

• Time served Sheet Metal Worker/Fabricator (4 year apprenticeship completed)
• TIG, MIG, MMA welding capabilities
• Ability to work from drawings.
• Have experience in thin gauge materials
• Be able to measure and cut materials accurately.
• Experience in using guillotine, bender, cnc plasma or willing to learn.
• Work as part of a team.
• Possess excellent communication skills and time management skills.
• Ability to multitask.

Duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:

• To carry out all welding operations and fabricate as required
• Grinding and polishing of work
• Fabricating from basic drawings
• Must be able to weld thin gauge material ranging from 1.2mm to 10mm
• Maintaining a safe and tidy workplace and reporting any faults/hazards, in accordance with Company Health and Safety requirement

Food industry knowledge would be to an advantage but not essential as experience will be gained over time.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £14.00-£15.50 per hour
