Accounts Assistant

Dick Lovett Swindon is looking for an Accounts Assistant.

Your role

Our BMW/MINI Dealership in Swindon has a fantastic opportunity available for a full-time Accounts Assistant to join our team.

Working closely with the Dealership Accountant, candidates will provide accounting assistance that includes maintaining the cash book daily, generating Group reports, and overseeing the Purchase Ledger.

Responsibilities include:

• Processing purchase ledger invoices and reconciling them to the nominal ledger and supplier statements
• Cash and bank reconciliations and postings ensuring daily processes are followed
• Payment processing
• Reconciling allocated balance sheet accounts and reporting variances, as requested by the Dealership Accountant.
• Assist with day-to-day operations of the accounts functions within the team environment
• Adherence to Group policies and processes

Your profile

The ideal candidate will have accounting experience with a strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and experience of account reconciliations, Sales Ledger including cashbooks and Purchase Ledger. Experience of working within a motor industry accounts department and using the Keyloop Kerridge/CDK/DRIVE system is preferable.
