Shipping Coordinator

Our client an international Importer, Distributor and stockist and specialises with Food and Ingredients is seeking a senior Shipping Coordinator for their UK office in London. The required candidate will have at least 10 years experience with both Imports and Exports and international Shipping across the UK and also Globally. You will be a clear communicator and be able to pay clear attention to detail. The main duties will be:

• Working with Carriers and booking Haulage directly (Merchant haulage)
• Booking Deliveries
• Handling a medium size Warehouse booking in diary.
• Scheduling Exports and Imports into the Warehouse
• Arranging Shipments from start to finish.
• Dealing with the necessary Documentation that’s involved.
• Liaising on a day to day basis with clients and customers.

The successful candidate will have a very high level of communication skills and a background within the Food industry will be an advantage. The hours are 9-5 with 25 days with 6 days a month optional work from home. Pensions scheme and optional subsidised canteen. Excellent opportunity to work for a respected company in this industry.
