Warehouse Operative/Driver

Full-Time Warehouse Operative/Driver to assist the smooth running of the warehouse and make deliveries to customers.

Responsibilities:

Assisting in the warehouse, picking and packing of orders, booking in daily deliveries and putting stock away.

Unloading containers of incoming stock

Assisting with set up and breakdown of exhibition stands at various regional and national shows

The ideal candidate will have an excellent track record as a warehouse operative with a solid and stable work history. The position on offer involves heavy work and lifting. You will also need to be flexible in your approach and willing to help out in many areas of the business as and when required. During the peak season, hours will increase on some days to meet high demand. Driving licence is a must, as part of the role involves delivering to customers in one of our Luton Vans.

Skills/Qualities Required: ·

· Counter Balance Forklift licence preferable

· Solid history of experience in warehouse work

· Good Communications Skills

· Sound Numeracy and Literacy skills

· Customer Focused

· Team Player

· Able to be flexible if working hours demand

· Full clean driving licence is a must

· Computer Literacy – a bonus

Job Type / Category

The work environment is mainly warehouse based but you will also be required to make local and occasional national deliveries to customers. The product is indoor and outdoor furniture which can be large and heavy with some pieces. A good sense of organisational skills is essential to ensure the orderly flow of goods inward and outward.
