About us

Baxters is a busy, bright and friendly gallery in Dartmouth and has been established for 17 years. Selling a wide range of paintings, prints, ceramics, sculptures, jewellery and cards prices range from £2 to £2000. We have an online shop as well as our bricks and mortar one and hold a feature exhibition every May.

We are looking for a highly-motivated and ideally experienced Sales Assistant to join Baxters. You will work on your own on the owner's days off so must be confident with customers, be warm and friendly and organised. You will be selling, packing website orders and unpacking & checking deliveries as well as cleaning stock and jewellery. You must be happy up a ladder on occasion too when selling wall art! Computer use for emails and updating the website will also be part of the role. You may not have a full knowledge of art and handmade but it would really help if this was a passion and that you are willing to learn about different techniques.

The job is ideally for Sunday, Monday and Tuesday each week with additional cover for the owner's holiday if possible.

Part-time hours: 14-19 per week

Salary: From £11.00 per hour
