Cook/Chef

TRAK employment are currently recruiting for a Cook/Chef to work at an exclusive members only club in Swindon

You will be required to prepare and cook members a variety of different hot and cold meals. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Must be over 18 due to nature of the role.

Main duties:

• To assist the Head Chef in preparing and delivering meals that are appetising and well presented at the highest quality and standards
• To work with the Head Chef / Cooks as a part of a team, to meet quality assurance standards.
• To assist as required with events/functions that take place
• To maintain levels of hygiene in the kitchen and restaurant areas, including food preparation and storage areas, refrigerators, freezers, cooking appliances and other kitchen equipment, to meet the requirements of the Environmental Health Regulations.
• Help to complete regular audits
• Help manage stock control
• To help lead, motivate, inspire and develop a team

Candidate requirements:

• Qualifications (NVQ level 2) within Catering/Food Safety & Hygiene
• Experience working as a chef/ cook in a similar setting
• Experience working in a busy kitchen environment
• Good understanding of food safety
• To be able and willing to work extra hours to cover holidays and sickness, as and when require
• To carry out any reasonable duties as requested by the Catering Manager or Head Chef / Chef.
• To be aware of Health & Safety responsibilities which fall within the role and the personal Health & Safety responsibilities
