Assistant Management Accountant

Tokyo Industries was established in 1997 and now spans a diverse international leisure, retail, hospitality & property portfolio consisting of bars, restaurants, nightclubs, festivals, brewery, hotels, and a shopping centre. We also have ventures in Dubai, New York, Palm Springs, L.A and Ibiza. We are a forward-thinking organisation of deliberately non-generic leisure and entertainment venues which include offerings such as Impossible Manchester, BLVD Manchester, Digital Newcastle, FAC251 The Factory, Reds True BBQ restaurant chain (including our own range of products in supermarkets) and a Brewdog bar portfolio. We have ambitions to further expand and have several venues scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2023, along with an extensive pipeline of further openings in the future. We are growing rapidly and have ambitious plans to further expand our offering whilst retaining our music content delivered roots. Job Description:

1. Management Accounts production including full balance sheet disclosure and KPIs.

2. Assist with continuous review and improvement of financial controls.

3. Assist with Budgeting and forecasts.

4. Year end audit folders including drafting of statutory accounts and liaison with Auditors.

5. Payroll processing, reconciliation and liaison with external Bureau.

6. Maintenance of fixed asset register.

7. Responsible for compliance with all current VAT legislation from a day-to-day paperwork perspective and submitting the VAT return in a timely and accurate fashion.

8. Due diligence and financial modelling ref acquisitions and disposals

9. Ad-hoc analysis as and when the business dictates.

3. Sage 50 knowledge is desirable

4. Excellent double entry knowledge

5. Inquisitive and commercially focused

6. Methodical and organised

7. Must have a minimum of two years management accounts experience

Salary: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
