Tara Group Accountant

Purpose of the Role:

The role is part of the Finance Controllership team of the Tara Group. The role will report into the Technical and Tara Group Accounting Controller, and it will be responsible for supporting the Tara and Technical Group Accounting Controller in preparing management and external reporting for the Tara Group on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis as required, by applying investment entity accounting, preparing valuations and recording corporate/ fund transaction activity. The role will also be responsible for supporting the fund finance activities of the Tara Group in Kyron Capital Partners (UK) Limited and associated investment funds.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Education – Degree (or equivalent).
• Specialised Knowledge – Fund/ investment entity accounting, and IFRS.
• Microsoft Office – Intermediate or advanced level.
• Professional Certification – ACA (or equivalent).
• Experience - Corporate accounting and systems.

• Qualified ACA (or equivalent), with relevant fund experience.

• Strong Excel skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Organised and a good communicator.

Desirable:

• Big 4 (within external audit) with industry experience.
• IFRS technical accounting/ accounting policy experience (IFRS, FRS 102 and FRS 101).
• Ability to write well, and strong communication skills generally.
• Valuations and/ or investment entity accounting experience.
• Adaptability, ability to embrace and respond positively to change.
• Analytical and investigative skills, logical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Flexibility of working practices, priorities and hours to meet business demands.
