Physiotherapy Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity to join our established Adult Rehabilitation Physiotherapy Team at Bishop Auckland Hospital. We are looking to recruit a Physiotherapy Assistants (Band 3) to join our in-patient physiotherapy team. The successful candidate will work alongside qualified Physiotherapists, assisting with treatment and rehabilitation of patients at Bishop Auckland Hospital.

The post holders will participate in 7 day working, including bank holidays.

The Physiotherapy assistant will support the physiotherapists in the inpatients department to rehabilitate patients at Bishop Auckland Hospital to be discharged home or into a community setting safely. The role involves assisting in individual patient treatment sessions. The role also involves non patient contact time for general stock control, clerical duties & housekeeping duties as specified by team leader.

Excellent communication and listening skills are required to support the physiotherapy team and the patients through their rehabilitation.
