Head of Education (Speciality Training)

Reporting directly to the Associate Director of Education, the Head of Education (Specialty Training) will be a senior team member. They will lead the specialty training workstreams across the GOSH Learning Academy (GLA) in the effective and efficient delivery of the pan-Trust education plan.

The post holder will work closely with the other Heads of Education, Education Leads, Clinical teams, GLA Operational Team and GLA team members in setting and monitoring education, training, and development performance against agreed targets and objectives. The post holder will provide strategic leadership for education within the GLA ensuring the Trust meets its responsibilities in relation to national and local regulatory frameworks. The post holder will act as a key link between the Corporate Education Teams and other multi-professionals within the Trust and our external partners.

In partnership with the Heads of Education, the post holder will lead on the development and implementation of a robust education plan supporting the priorities and sustainability of the GOSH Learning Academy. The role will require the post holder to work across directorate, specialty, and organisational boundaries to develop an education plan that can be flexed to meet the needs of differing environments and staff groups at GOSH.
