Graphic Designer (Middleweight)

GRAPHIC DESIGNER

We are looking for a Graphic Designer (Middleweight) to join our growing business.

You’ll be working closely with the Communications Director, Marketing Manager and Marketing Assistant to conceptualise and deliver original campaigns and designs across both digital and print platforms for our growing portfolio of businesses: UPVC DIRECT, NB Builders and Principality Plastics Warehouse.

COMPANY BACKGROUND

UPVCDIRECT.CO.UK with NB Builders Merchants and Principality Plastics Warehouse are businesses selling DIY/ Trade products for building and maintenance. We sell to the trade market and DIY-ers online and through our branch network in Cardiff, Gelli, Gloucester and Swansea. With this fast and exciting growth, an opportunity for an in-house Graphic Designer has arisen to support the existing team.

THE ROLE:

· Develop strong and innovative campaign concepts to promote the company brands and products

· Develop high quality designs and content across all channels through to final artwork
(e.g. website/ social media channels/ blog/ print/ magazines/ brochures/ leaflet drops/ e-campaigns/ video content/ trade adverts etc etc.

· Launch and update new products and ranges across our digital retail channels
(E.g. website/ ebay shop/ facebook/ amazon etc.)

· Ensure brand consistency across all channels

· Provide design support to the sales team, with sales pack updates

· Organise designs/ assets on the internal shared drive

· Explore new concepts, design ideas and campaigns and share with the team

· Liaise with external website agencies, printers, SEO companies on behalf of the business

· Take product shots/ people shots. Editing and retouching in Creative Suite and save at various sizes depending on application requirements.

LOOKING FOR:

· Graphic design experience

· Experience with Creative Suite packages (in-design/ photoshop/ illustrator etc)

· Experience with content creation and management in Wordpress or equivalent

· Self-motivated individual with a good work ethic and the ability to multi-task and prioritise

· Eye for design and detail

· Fresh, new campaign ideas

· You’ll be joining a friendly, fast paced team at an exciting time in the businesses growth

Job Type:Full-time

Salary: £22k - £26k per year (depending on experience)

Benefits: Free parking

Schedule: Monday to Friday (9am-5pm)

Location: Primary location is 3 Centre-court, Treforest Industrial Estate with the ability to move between existing branches on occasion.

Education/ Experience:
A-Level or equivalent (preferred)
Bachelors degree (graphic design/ advertising)
Graphic Design experience (1+ years)
